Invoice Credits

Every docs101 plan includes a set number of invoices per month — 3 on the Free plan, 100 on the Professional plan. Once you've used your included invoices, you can purchase additional invoice credits to keep creating invoices without changing your plan.

Each credit costs €0.50 and lets you finalize one additional invoice.

How to Purchase Credits​

From the Subscription Page​

  1. Go to Subscription in the sidebar
  2. Scroll to the Invoice Credits section
  3. Click Buy credits
  4. Choose a package (10, 25, or 50 credits)
  5. Complete the purchase through Stripe Checkout

After payment, your credits appear in your balance within a few seconds.

When You Reach Your Limit​

If you try to finalize an invoice after using all included invoices, a dialog offers two paths:

  • Use a credit — Available if your credit balance is greater than zero. One credit is deducted and the invoice finalizes normally.
  • Buy credits — Opens the credit purchase flow directly.
No interruption if you plan ahead

Buy a small credit pack proactively (or enable Auto-Topup) so you never hit the wall mid-invoicing.

Auto-Topup​

Auto-Topup automatically purchases 10 credits whenever your balance falls below 2. This keeps invoice creation uninterrupted.

To enable Auto-Topup:

  1. Go to Subscription > Invoice Credits
  2. Toggle Auto-Topup on
  3. A payment method must be on file — you'll be prompted to add one if needed

When Auto-Topup fires, it's charged off-session using your saved card. If the charge fails (e.g. expired card), Auto-Topup is automatically disabled and you receive an email asking you to update your payment method.

Do Credits Expire?​

No. Invoice credits never expire and carry over between billing periods. Credits purchased on the Free plan remain available after upgrading to Professional.

When to upgrade instead

If you regularly create more than about 30 invoices per month on the Free plan, the Professional plan (€25/month or €250/year) is more cost-effective than buying credits.

Receipts​

Every credit purchase produces a Stripe invoice that's emailed to your account owner as a PDF attachment. Auto-Topup purchases generate the same confirmation email.

The transactions are also visible in Subscription > Payments and in your Stripe customer portal.
