Stripe Integration
docs101 uses Stripe as its payment processor for subscription billing. Stripe securely handles all payment transactions — docs101 never stores your credit card data.
docs101 creates your invoices. Stripe only processes your docs101 subscription payments. The invoices you create for your customers in docs101 are completely separate from Stripe's payment processing.
What Stripe Does
Stripe handles the payment side of your docs101 subscription:
- Securely collects and stores your payment information
- Processes recurring subscription charges
- Provides PCI-compliant payment infrastructure

Automating Invoice Creation from Stripe Payments
If you receive payments through Stripe in your own business, you can connect docs101 to automatically generate invoices for incoming Stripe payments. This saves you from manually creating an invoice for each transaction. Contact our support team at support@docs101.com to learn more about this integration.
Managing Your Subscription
You can manage your docs101 subscription directly within the app:
- Click the gear icon in the top right corner of the header
- Select Subscription from the menu
From the subscription page you can:
- View your current plan and billing cycle
- Upgrade or downgrade your plan
- Cancel your subscription
- When changing plans or entering payment details, you are redirected to Stripe's secure checkout

Viewing Your Invoices
To view and download your docs101 subscription invoices:
- Click the gear icon in the top right corner of the header
- Select Subscription
- Go to the Payments tab
- View your payment history and download invoices
Troubleshooting
Payment Failed
If your subscription payment is declined:
- Go to your subscription page and update your payment method via Stripe
- Verify your card is not expired and has sufficient funds
- Contact your bank if the card is valid but still declined
- Stripe retries failed payments automatically
If payment continues to fail after multiple retries, your subscription may be cancelled automatically and your account will revert to the Free plan.

Your payment information is handled securely by Stripe:
- All card data is encrypted using PCI DSS compliance standards
- docs101 never sees or stores your full credit card number
